My WebEvent Video Broadcasting
My WebEvent provides video broadcasting for your web conferencing needs. Video broadcasting allows you to be in the homes and offices of your participants via a live video broadcast on their computers. What an amazing way to connect and make your web conference come to life!
With My WebEvent video broadcasting, all you need is a web cam and microphone, either built-in or external. If your computer does not have a built-in webcam, don’t let that stop you from video broadcasting! External web cams are readily available for around $20. If you have never used video broadcasting along with your webinars, don’t be afraid to start. Video broadcasting connects you with your participants without the costs of time and travel!
With My WebEvent, you can easily host a web conference that includes video broadcasting with multiple speakers. Anyone with a camera and microphone is able to use the video broadcasting feature. As the host, you can transfer control of your web conference to another speaker by clicking the Transfer Host Control button next to the name of the guest that will be speaking. When you transfer control to another speaker, they immediately have the ability to use all of the features including webinar, screen share, video broadcasting, audio broadcasting and chat.
For example, the host may share a powerpoint document, along with video broadcasting as they’re training. When their portion is over, the control is transferred to the next speaker who uses video broadcasting and screen share for a website demonstration. The host then takes back control and transfers the web conference to the next speaker who shares a PDF along with video broadcasting and answers questions using the chat feature. Keep in mind, video broadcasting along with the web conference allows your participants to see and hear from the speakers, which is proven to be a highly effective way of training. The entire web conference is recorded in synchronization!
If you, or one of your guest speakers, prefer not to use the video broadcasting feature for a web conference, simply click the video box to disable the video. You can upload a picture or a logo, which will be seen by your participants if you disable the video broadcasting. Keep in mind, the microphone is necessary for your participants to hear the presentation, even if the video is turned off.
Sharing a recorded web conference that includes webinar, screen share, audio and video broadcasting is as simple as sharing a link. No huge files to send! Simply share the link that is provided at the conclusion of your webinar. To view the recorded web conference, participants simply click on the link you share with them. My WebEvent provides detailed reports of who views your recorded web conferences. The reports are found on your accounts page.
Video broadcasting can be a great addition to a web conference because it allows you to connect with your audience on a very personal level. With My WebEvent, hosts can video broadcast while sharing their screen or a powerpoint, PDF or word document. If you do not need to share your screen or a document, and would like to simply record a video message, that works too!
When using video broadcasting keep these tips in mind for best results:
-
Do a Test: To be sure your camera and microphone are broadcasting, do a test prior to your web conference.
-
Lighting: For best video results, be sure that all presenters using video broadcasting are in a well-lit area.
-
Movements: Keep your audience in mind. For all you hand talkers, try to hold excessive gestures to a minimum.
-
Clothing: For best results, stick with solid colored clothing and avoid patterns.
-
Background Noise: Your microphone will pick up noises which can be distracting. Keep in mind your background noise as you present.
-
Bandwidth: When using video broadcasting, keep in mind your network strength. Your network strength can be affected by the people in your house or office browsing the web or downloading movies and videos. If you experience band-width issues while video broadcasting, double check the other activity occurring on your network.
